Their asset loss should be less than a month ago (treasury rates has been falling). But, i believed they will sell at most around 80B in assets. The fact that they announced they were actively looking to unload 50-100B is concerning. Especially given that they haven’t sold or improved their situation in the past month is really concerning. No Q&A makes me really tipsy of their situation. Overall, theres to much fear right now and I believe its unpredictable what will happen to depositors and regulators.
Some questions:
Can they even sell any of their loans (no progress in the past month)?
Will regulators fear contagion and put them in receivership?
Its headline news everywhere, will this lead to more deposits being withdrawn?
They have no guidance in their call…
